Yes, I realize it's almost Valentines Day, but Merry Christmas!

Okay, so here's the thing- I am having a rare moment when I feel the need to blog, so I figured I may as well put up Christmas pictures. Mostly to prove that we do have them and we did in fact celebrate said holiday.

This year was so fun. Since we live with my mom and dad we got the added bonus of having my mom's mom, Grandma Bette with us the whole weekend. That was so fun. Another bonus was that my sister Shannon had her twins on the 22nd of December so they came home on Christmas night. Best. Presents. Ever. Anywho, the morning of we got up about 7ish and gathered for our traditional Christmas morning prayer. As a child I was pretty convinced that my parents did this to us as a means of torture, but now that I myself am a mom I am so glad that they did. It really invites the spirit. After prayer I sent Jason downstairs to capture the moment, if you will.

Now Katelyn had asked for just one thing all season long. A tinkerbell doll. Over and over. Santa did not disappoint.

She flipped her lid and started playing. A minute or two later she realized that she had a stocking full of good stuff. She dug right in.

After awhile we convinced her that there were other gifts under the tree. That was so thrilling for her.

In the interest of time I will just say what she got. Clothes, dress up jewelry, building blocks, and some other random crap. I can't really remember. I was going to put up pictures of me opening my gift, but I didn't look so hot. My husband (who by the way is the best) got me airline tickets to see one of my best friends and former mission companions, Jenn BOEHRER Mize. I went and visited her in Mid-January, but that is another post. Anyway, I was crazy excited.

All in all, it was a fun day. A really good Christmas. Another present came 4 days later when I received a call from the movie theater where I lost my wallet (see previous post) telling me it was found with everything still in it. It was a Christmas miracle.

As for the rest of the goings on, well, not much. Katelyn was sicker than a dog last week. She has croup. We spent 6 hours in the E.R. during which she was severely violated, poked, forced to drink icky medicine, and throwing up. It sucked. And now Jason has it. Life is grand. Hopefully in the next couple of days I will post about my aforementioned trip to see my friend Jenn. I make no guarantees. This weekend will find me in a jacuzzi suite with my hubby for Valentines Day. I will not post about that, though. I love all you guys.

Apologies for not flipping the first picture and the blurriness thereof.
